Re: Apple watch clench gesture for haptic time

I got the double clench to work to turn on gestures, but not the clench to give
haptic time.
Cheers,
Donna

2022-11-30 Thread Anders Holmberg
Hi Paul!
The odd thing is that if you unlock the watch it works for me.
Which is kind of useless.
I have been telling the dev team about that but no go yet.
I am on the beta.

Apple watch clench gesture for haptic time

2022-11-30 Thread Paul Hopewell
Hello,
Has anyone got the clench gesture to get your Apple watch to tap your wrist to
tell you the time?
If you go to Settings, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Hand gestures you will find an
option to tell haptic time if you clench your hand to make a fist. It seems
that you also have to do a double clench at the right time to enable the above
hand gesture.
This could be very useful if you are wearing gloves or carrying something in
your non watch hand which inhibits you from doing a 2 finger tap and hold on
the watch face to tell haptic time.
I am unclear how this use of hand gestures relates to the hand gestures for
assistive touch, where clench means something different and cannot be set to
haptic time.
IF anyone has got this to reliably work then can you please let me know the
details.
Many thanks … Paul Hopewell
