Re: Audible.com site with safari 5
I don't remember everything I did, but it seems pretty simple. I think all I did was put the cd in the drive, click install, and then make sure the hard drive was selected. I think I could have done an optional install and just reinstalled safari, but I hadn't done anything with the mac really yet so decided to do a full reinstallation. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this. Hi Chris: Could you be so kind as to give me a push in the right direction where it comes to reinstalling the OS? I'm beyond frustrated here, and it seems that everything I try just makes things worse. Apparently, S5 was not tested properly before being released. Re: Audible.com site with safari 5
It may have something to do with the size of the page. When I had safari 5 I noticed voiceover would do that in ichat if the chat got big enough. I used the cd htat came with my mac to do a reinstall of the os and it took it back to safari 4. I was surprised it didn't totally whipe the machine, but all my mail and ichat accounts and things were still there. Something to try for those who like me want to downgrade. as a new mac user this is very disappointing. Has this happened with safari before? Re: Audible.com site with safari 5
I have not tried either s5 or Audible, but a couple things to try: 1. Turn off cursor tracking. Some sites do a lot of javascript when the mouse moves over a specific point, or the insertion point changes. This can wreck havoc when all three track each other. Facebook is on my bad behavior list because of this. 2. I believe I heard something about disabling javascript could prevent the crashing. (which would make sense if the statement above holds.) Re: Audible.com site with safari 5
I've experienced this behavior several times today in Safari 5 and Web Kit. I've repaired disk permissions, reset Safari and Web Kit and still have issues. Yes, I'm getting the same behavior. Voiceover resets itself when you try to interact with the html content. I am finding that safari crashes with the audible web site. Voiceover keeps restarting. Has anyone else tried audible?
