Canyounot type it in to your notebook or notes application and then you have it
on record if you require it again

Hi all,

I have a question tha is a unusual request. I just got a new computer and need
to get it online. I am wondering if there is a way to view the wifi code of
the wifi network I am currently connected to. It is a very long code. I had
to have someone enter the code for me since it was stored on there phone. I
would like to have it so that I can store it someware and use it to connect the
new laptop to the network. If this is a bit off topic I appolage in advance.
If there is an app that would allow me to do this. Thanks.

2018-10-14 Thread matthew dyer
Tim,

Thanks. I did a bit of googling around and found out how to get what OI needed
from keychain. Good to know about the I devices as I am looking at getting a
new phone this week. If I can find one on t-mlobile prepaid I should be good.
BTW, the device was a windows pc not an I device. Thanks again.

Hi,

There's no real need to do anything like that. It is totally possible to share
that WiFi password with any other Apple device. Just make sure that they are
close to each other, and that you're either using the same Apple ID, or have
the other person in your contacts, and the WiFi password can be instantly
shared with the other device without having to share the actual alphanumeric
string. Alternatively, this information is stored in your Keychain, and can be
accessed with a bit of work.
