First impressions of 2nd gen series 1 Apple watch

2017-02-13 Thread Donna Goodin
Hi all,

Just thought I'd share my first impressions, in case anyone out there is
considering this purchase.

First, I'm extremely happy with this upgrade, and highly recommend it. Below
is what I've observed so far.

The watch is definitely more responsive. No more waiting around for the watch
to respond to a tap or other gesture. Apps also open much more quickly.

I have found what David and others have said to be true re the battery. I get
up at 6:15, and when I checked battery status at 9:30, the percentage level was
10-13% higher than it typically was with the first gen watch.

I don't know if this is my imagination, but I think the speaker is noticeably
better. Speech and sounds seem both louder and clearer.

Finally, for those who use the watch for exercise, I'm getting a higher calorie
count for my elliptical work-outs. I can't imagine why this would be, but it
is true. Perhaps the faster processor is also more accurate? Whatever the
reason, I like the new numbers! :)

So, that's what I've got so far. In my opinion, for $270, it's absolutely
worth upgrading.
Cheers,
Donna
