RE: Focus Blue 5th on the Mac

I got my Focus to show up in NVDA, here's how I did it:

If you do have the file from FS, once you extract it there should be a folder 
called

FocusBlueDriver1.0.2030

Go into that folder, and run a file called:

FSBrlDriverSetupPackage.exe

This runs a very familiar Windows setup package that installs the needed 
Braille driver. Once that's done you should be able to go into NVDA 
Preferences, the Braille section. When I did this on my system, the only choice 
I had was Automatic. If I clicked on the Change button, a list of displays came 
up, and Freedom Scientific was in that list and installed just fine. I am 
replying to your message using NVDA, and looking over what I am typing on my 
Focus 40 Blue display.

the Focus displays. They give you a link on the Freedom Scientific web site you 
need to go to in order to get the driver. I had done that on my older 
stand-alone PC, but have not tried that yet with my Fusion system.

I think my Focus is older, but what I had to do was start the Windows machine, 
then connect the device. So, if your Focus is working with VoiceOver, 
disconnecting and reconnecting tells Fusion to look for the device. Then, you 
have to go to Devices in your machine. You should see the Freedom Scientific 
device listed as not connected, but you can then connect it and you should find 
the driver after that. It’s a bit of a pain, but you always have to disconnect 
and reconnect the Braille device every time you start up the virtual Windows 
machine.

VM on the Mac? I need to install a driver which is not working. A USB 
connection is required and VMware Fusion sees the connected display but
