Re: Getting rid of DropBox
Did you even get to the preferences menu at all? Remember, you need to rout your mouse to the Universal menu then move the mouse straight left. Then, when you hear that the mouse is over the drop Box menu, click the mouse using VO+shift+space. Now, arrow down to the preferences menu and then press return until you hear, select preferences or something like that, pressing return one time after another will toggle between select and deselect. One more thing, after you've done this successfully once, you need to restart Voice OVer before you can do it again. Sincerely, The Constantly Barefooted Ray!!! Re: Getting rid of DropBox
Hi! Actually, I take an even easier approach. I just go to the Activity Monitor in /Applications/Utilities and quit the processes related to Dropbox. Of course, I reinstalled Dropbox since I love Dropbox, and since I paid. The mouse approach didn't seem consistent, at least not in my case. Re: Getting rid of DropBox
Good afternoon Daniel, In order to remove the dropbox application, you will need to first stop the running process, since Dropbox is a service that runs in the background. To do this, navigate to the utilities folder from the finder by pressing command+shift+u. Next, navigate to the activity monitor application and open it. In activity monitor, navigate to the processes table and start typing in dropbox. This should highlight the dropbox process in the table. Vo to the left to the toolbar and interact with the toolbar. Navigate to the right to the quit process button and press VO space. You should be presented with a dialog asking you if you really want to quit the process. Once you confirm this dialog, you should be able to delete the dropbox application from your machine. hth On Nov 8, 2010, at 4:36 PM, Daniel K.
