Hi,

If you press return on the Mail message, interact with the Message Header, 
you'll see a "Mark as VIP" button there.  Press it to toggle it off.

Okay, can’t figure out how I did this, but somewhere in the mail app I managed 
to set myself as a VIP. Of course, I should always be treated as such, but in 
practice, I don’t want my mail badges to count each time I send or receive a 
message. How do I remove VIP from me, or anyone else, for that matter?
