Hi Georges,
Speaking personally, I would always check the box about using function keys as
standard. I rarely want to adjust screen brightness but often want to use VO
commands which depend on function keys. THe default placement of the FN key on
the full Apple keyboard makes the idea of needing to press it every time along
with the VO keys an exercise in contortion.
