Normally, when choosing an iTunes library from the Option key, I suggest you 
pick the iTunes parent folder,, not the iTunes Media folder.  Since the parent 
folder contains the ITL and other database files, the proper libraries are 
normally chosen.  It looks like what you did worked anyway, so good work.

Hi,

H.  That's interesting indeed.  I checked on my system and everything is 
fine.  When I connect to my MBP with Mojave, I see the local media, but not the 
iCloud Music Library based content.  When I connect to my El Capitan server, I 
see everything there as well.  Sure does sound like a security thing to me, but 
I'm not sure where the problem lies.

   Nothing seems to work. I have disconnected the external drive and I 
still see the content in iTunes and I have repeated changing the

It doesn't sound like you did anything wrong to me.  I suggest you disconnect 
then reconnect and make sure to have your computer handy in case there's any 
security code that is required now.

   After installing Mojave, and setting up the iTunes library, pointing 
to its location, and turning on Home Sharing, my Apple TV says there is 
no content in the library. What am I missing here? Thanks.
