Yeah

Sim;y the iPad isn't up to date with what it can play.

The fifth gen only came out within the passed 6 months.

Subject: More on Swift Playgrounds

Hi all,

so after much effort, I've gotten my husband's iPad updated. The iPad is a 4th
gen. But when I try to download Swift Playgrounds, I get an error message that
it is not compatible with my device. That doesn't seem possible, given that
the 5th gens aren't out yet. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?
TIA,
Donna

Yeah, I saw that. It's my husband's and he doesn't care, so not my problem. :)

Hi,

For whatever reason, Apple did not make Swift Playground compatible with the
current iPad line. Only the iPad Air, the iPad Mini 2 and up along with the
iPad Pro models. There's usually some underlying rationale to do with the
processor, the graphics capabilities or sometimes just because that's what
they've decided. In any case, it appears that your out of luck with that model
of iPad.

Sorry.
