Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
Hello, Those with battery issues should look under settings / battery. Which will give an indication what app is draining their battery. If you allow lots of apps to monitor your location these are usually the culprits. I also heard iPhone SE has a very impressive battery life because the A9 powering the 6S and 6S Plus is what this chip was optimized for. Powering lower res 4inch screen and bigger battery inside the SE might make up for this reasoning. Though it’s not as good as 6S Plus it’s certainly close. I do have an use Facebook, but I have been doing that for a long time, at least several months. So I don't think that's it. I also do try to remember to take it out of the app switcher, although I have also heard that having apps in the app switcher doesn't make a difference. I still try to keep stuff out of there when possible. Mary Sent from my iPhone > On May 2, 2016, at 9:40 PM, Gabe Griffithwrote: > > Hi, > > Have you recently installed any new apps? Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
I think it definitely makes a lot of difference for an iPhone 6S Plus or 6 Plus users. I got the 6S Plus for several reasons despite it’s size. It seem to deliver better speaker quality and most importantly that i want to address in this thread, battery. The standby time is what it impressed me the most. I can easily get through 2 to even 3 days of battery, and combined with low power mode could get me little over 3 days. Though by then I feel a need for a charge as the phone usually ends up at around 25% which at this point I do more extensive work to drain the battery to 0 and charge it and pretty much repeats the cycle. When I owned an iPhone 5S the battery lasted a day and I would usually end up at around 50% which I ended up charging because I wasn’t too confident about battery life for my day 2. I have portable charger encase the battery drains out, though I would think the bigger 6S offers better battery life than 5S. > On May 3, 2016, at 9:54 AM, Anders Holmbergwrote: > > Hi! > Well, i have done that several times but for me it does not help much. > /A >> On 03 May 2016, at 01:49, Phil Halton wrote: >> >> I occasionally run my battery down to zero so that the phone actually shuts >> down from lack of battery. Make sure you do not let your phone get to warm. Do not leave it out where the sun will warm it for example. Heat is the enemy of your battery. Also, stuff in the task manager may be actively pinging so it is a good idea to clean it out. Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
I would be very happy if I got two days of use out of my battery using it very heavily. I guess there are different definitions of what that means. Smile. I wouldn't even mind if I got a full day of use out of it without having to top it off somewhere. I know I use my phone a lot. Maybe I will try to get up to the Mac store and see if they can analyze my battery. Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
I’m finding that post 9.3 the battery draw is a bit higher than it was. The applications seem to draw pretty well especially Facebook and anything that keeps a connection nailed open like a SIP phone or some messaging apps. Haven’t noticed a drastic falloff though but definitely a little less battery life traded off for faster responsiveness on 9.3.x. > On May 3, 2016, at 3:21 AM, Simon Fogarty <si...@blinky-net.com> wrote: > > Hi David, > > I find I need to charge mine at night if it's down to under 30% > But as I'm not on it all day I normally get 2 days out of it before needing a > real charge, > > I also carry an emergency charger with me in case I get in to a situation > where I'm running on empty, > > -Original Message- > From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com > [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of David Chittenden > Sent: Tuesday, 3 May 2016 5:25 PM > To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com > Subject: Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s > > Apple, and other sources,, state not to run the battery completely down more > than once per month for recalibration. Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
I occasionally run my battery down to zero so that the phone actually shuts down from lack of battery. I don't know if this helps but I've heard that this helps to reset the battery. Of course after running it down to dark, I put it on the charger until it's 100% again. Occasionally I get a weird battery day where I run out of battery before expected. But those days are rare and when they occur I just close everything out and reboot the phone and it seems to clear up. Re: Battery on an iPhone 6s
I’d love to see any responses to this, Mary as I’m finding the same thing on my 6S. I rarely make it through 8 hours without getting down to 18%or so.
