Hello Everyone,

In an age of political correctness, it's gotten so that I'm almost afraid to
wish anyone a Merry Christmas so I'll just say that I hope you all had a
pleasant December 25th and are enjoying your holiday season.

As for me, I had a very pleasant Christmas, this year.

I want you all to know that I found myself thinking about you, today. Many,
many of your names came to mind as I was enjoying my Christmas dinner;
wondering how your day was going, hoping you were happy, etc.

If it were possible, I would have given all of you a Christmas hug and told you
how greatful I am that you and I are in this world at the same time.

Being visually impaired is never easy even when some days go by more easily
than others.

Be that as it may, I want you to know that it helps me a great deal to know
that I do not struggle with my visual challenges alone; that somewhere out
there, you are with me in spirit.

As I have said on many occasions, we, you and I are brothers and sisters on
this path of accessability exploration and expansion and for that, I am truly
grateful.

Okay, I'll step down off of my proverbial soapbox and return you to your
regularly scheduled email posting (smile).

Your Brother on the Path,

Mark

Dear Mark,

Thank you for such an honest and open message. It’s good to acknowledge that
not all is sweet, and it’s even better to know that we have one another on this
path. And I applaud the previous person who in an unabashed way wished
everyone simply merry Christmas, for that’s what it is for some of us. And I
hope for others too, who may express it differently or not at all. So merry

Hey Mark,

Thanks so much for your upbeat Christmas note.

I would just like to let you know how much I appreciate the way you moderate
the list and your sensitivity in your answers to people’s questions.

Like in many countries here in Europe, the 26th is also a holiday. In the
interest of not offending my family, I’ll keep my comments short and go enjoy
our family Christmas brunch.

Again, merry Christmas and thanks for moderating a great list!

RE: From Moderator Mark: I just Want You All To Know

2017-12-25 Thread myguidedogis
Mark, on another list racism started to creep in. The topic died down, and
sadly the moderator resurrected it by his insecurities. Then perhaps realizing
he made a mistake by adding his comments, he closed the thread. I just
thought, if you'd kept your nose out of it, the topic would have died, and no
conflagration would have happened. What's my point? I appreciate your
moderation of stepping in when necessary and letting things die went left
alone. The old proverbial drop of gas on the dying embers came into play on
the other computer list.

Many,
many of your names came to mind as I was enjoying my Christmas dinner;
wondering how your day was going, hoping you were happy, etc.

Mark
