Guys,

Could this be a disk permissions thing? Is there a way in Disk Utility that
we can check/repair? I know since El Capitan, they removed that option from
Disk Utility, as it's kind a supposed to do that stuff automatically, isn't
it?

Subject: Mc Os 10.12 questions.

Ok, I just updated to the latest version of Mac OS 10.12 Now here is
what is happening everytime I walk away from my Macbook mid 2010 white
pollycarbon I will come back and Voiceover has totally stopped
working, I did the upgrade from the prior version of OSX 10.11 I know
at least one person on the list that has the same macbook I have and
they haven't had any problems.

What is going on here with my set up on my macbook? and how can i fix
this because I am really growing to love the Mac and would love to
continue working with the operating system and Macbook. Please advise
me as to what i can do to fix this problem.

Re: Mc Os 10.12 questions.

2016-09-28 Thread christopher hallsworth
Nothing. Sounds like a serious bug with 2010 macs and agreed that everyone
owning such macs should let Apple Accessibility know right away. Ok, it’s old
hardware, but as you know with Apple, they have a history of supporting old
hardware much longer than the competitors. Look at the iPhone 4s for example.
Ok, it’s a different topic, but it’s only this year they stopped supporting the
4s, yet it’s been around since 2011. But you get the idea. I have a 2011 mac
and have no such problems, so it seems to be exclusive to 2010 macs.

Yeah, but that could be playing the contributing factor. I'm not totally
sure. I know Ben isn't having this issue. I just asked him, and hopefully

Interesting! So, yes, he absolutely is using Alex. That could be the
problem. OK, to the other genglemen, again, you didn't want your real name
being publisized, but, do you know how to download Tom, kind a like we did
with the enhanced Alex voice the other day? It's the same principle.
Download it, but don't switch to it until you're sure it's totally
downloaded. Try either that, or Daniel, maybe Samantha, or something.

Re: Mc Os 10.12 questions.

2016-09-27 Thread Christopher-Mark Gilland
We also looked at one point, and his system is not set to go to sleep, nor
screen saver, nor anything like that of sort.

This is just totally totally wicked weird!

Ok, I just updated to the latest version of Mac OS 10.12 Now here is what
is happening everytime I walk away from my Macbook mid 2010 white
pollycarbon I will come back and Voiceover has totally stopped working, I
did the upgrade from the prior version of OSX 10.11 I know at least one
person on the list that has the same macbook I have and they haven't had
any problems.

What is going on here with my set up on my macbook? and how can i fix this
because I am really growing to love the Mac and would love to continue
working with the operating system and Macbook. Please advise me as to what
i can do to fix this problem.

What is strange is that alex works fine ifif i am using the mac but it
is after i leave for a bit that it does not work, so that is strange to
boot.

Are you using Alex by any chance? If you recall my last message about this
issue, it only happens for me if I use Alex as my Voiceover voice. It's strange

the 2010's do and I really hope Apple fixes this right away. In the meantime,
use one of the Nuance voices if you have them. They never crash Voiceover and
if you don't have one and need help installing one I can guide you through how
to do it.
