Re: sound when iPhone is starting up from power off?
That’s interesting, I’m with you though, Apple disabling this makes no sense. That chime is famous. Independence Day (the first one) was another where the Apple chime was present. This reminds me of the game of finding Bob in movies especially about computers. Bob was on one of the screens in Jurassic Park for example. > On Aug 10, 2017, at 2:50 AM, Simon Fogarty <si...@blinky-net.com> wrote: > > Hey scott, > > I know for a fact that a PRAM reset will also re enable the start up tones on > your mac book or iMac. > > I’ve got a colleague that mutes them all the time and I use it as a notifier > to say the machine is powered on. > > From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com > <mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com>[mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com > <mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com>] On Behalf Of Scott Granados > Sent: Thursday, 10 August 2017 2:57 AM > To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com <mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com> > Subject: Re: sound when iPhone is starting up from power off? > > E.T. you are the man. > > I’m going to try this out right now. > > On Aug 9, 2017, at 10:55 AM, E.T. <ancient.ali...@icloud.com > <mailto:ancient.ali...@icloud.com>> wrote: > > sudo nvram BootAudio=%01 > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor. Hey scott, I know for a fact that a PRAM reset will also re enable the start up tones on your mac book or iMac. Hell, I hadn't noticed that one. I'll have to give it a go with one at work. I thought that was the key symbol of the apple mac computer line, basically it's been there since day one except for a couple of tone changes, it even made the movies when wali spread his solar panels to charge himself. -Original Message- From: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com [mailto:macvisionaries@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Scott Granados Sent: Thursday, 10 August 2017 12:56 AM To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: sound when iPhone is starting up from power off? Re: sound when iPhone is starting up from power off?
It does, it beeps when VO activates, it beeps when you’re attached to power and you boot and it says shutting down when you power down.
