Re: Mac Mail on Big Sur
You can also uncheck the box in the view menu that says, use column layout. I think this might be checked by default in Big Sur. > On Nov 30, 2020, at 9:44 AM, Brad Snyder wrote: > > I am also experiencing this issue. > This seems to occur only on items that are not “unread” in the mailbox list. > I have gone to VoiceOver Utility > Verbosity > Speech, and have attempted to > make adjustments in the Custom Verbosity Table, but have not been successful > in modifying this behavior. > > This may be something we just have to live with in Big Sur. > > - Brad - > > > On Nov 28, 2020, at 14:59, Jeff Berwick wrote: > > Hi all, > > So I had to upgrade to Big Sur to try to solve an issue I was having with > Xcode and my iPhone (it didn’t help). > > At any rate, I am now hearing too much informationabout the table in mail. > Every time I curser down to a new message, Voiceover announces “Column 1” > prior to reading the sender. > > I can stop this behaviour by setting the verbosity to low, but I’m wondering > if there is a way to set this verbosity on a per app bases? > > I’ve googled this, but haven’t found anything. > > Thanks for any help. > Jeff > > -- > The following information is important for all members of the Mac Visionaries > list. > > If you have any questions or concerns about the running of this list, or if > you feel that a member's post is inappropriate, please contact the owners or > moderators directly rather than posting on the list itself. > > Your Mac Visionaries list moderator is Mark Taylor. Re: Mac Mail on Big Sur
I am also experiencing this issue. This seems to occur only on items that are not “unread” in the mailbox list. I have gone to VoiceOver Utility > Verbosity > Speech, and have attempted to make adjustments in the Custom Verbosity Table, but have not been successful in modifying this behavior. This may be something we just have to live with in Big Sur. - Brad - On Nov 28, 2020, at 14:59, Jeff Berwick wrote: Hi all, So I had to upgrade to Big Sur to try to solve an issue I was having with Xcode and my iPhone (it didn’t help). At any rate, I am now hearing too much informationabout the table in mail. Every time I curser down to a new message, Voiceover announces “Column 1” prior to reading the sender. I can stop this behaviour by setting the verbosity to low, but I’m wondering if there is a way to set this verbosity on a per app bases? I’ve googled this, but haven’t found anything.
