Re: torrents and the mac

2011-09-11 Thread Anouk Radix
Hi, I have no big problem with torrentz.com but bit che on the mac would be
great, native cocoa! It isnt actively developed anymore and the developers are
not interested in porting so torrentz.com it is.

I use UTorrent as well and I don't know if transmission is still accessible.
Also, I've always found torrentz.com to be kind of a pain. I use bitche on
windows and that'd be nice if there was something like that for mac. bitche
is an apple which scours the internet for torrents and presents them in a
list view and you can right click them and select save torrent, open torrent,
 etc.

 Hi everyone,
I am now using utorrent on the mac in combination with torrentz.com but was

accessible on the mac and then especially ones that combine searching with
 downloading like for e.g. vuze?
Thanks in advance for any information,

Transmission and bitrocket were both OK, but UTorrent is so amazing I'm not
sure why you'd want anything else. I only kept the other two around as long as
I did because it took a while for them to build in the torrent creator. There
was nothing wrong with either of them really but they just weren't utorrent for
me.

I've found that some of the options in the mac version of torrent aren't there
as they are on the windows client…not sure why

Re: torrents and the mac

2011-09-10 Thread erik burggraaf
Hum, well possibly because the mac client started development at least 5 years
after the windows one, probably more. Realistically it may never be all that
the windows one is, but for day to day use, all of the main features work great.
