Re: who can upgrade to El Capitan
In short, if you mac can run mountain lion and above, it will be able to run el capitan. Original message: Hello all, Where do I get the info about which Macs can upgrade to El Capitan? Also, how do I find out what model of computer I have. Will the Mac App store automatically let me know if I can upgrade or not by prompting me to upgrade or does the App store automatically prompt me to upgrade my computer even if it’s too old? Re: who can upgrade to El Capitan
Hi, Just adding to this, any Mac that can run Yosemite can also run El Capiton. That’s what I found by looking at various sources by Googling OS X El Capiton and also, some release notes on the Apple Developer website. It also looks like El Capiton has the same system requirements pretty much as Yosemite.
