Re: Seeking Feedback on Using Braille Displays with the Kindle App

2013-07-31 Thread Annie Skov Nielsen
Hi Christina.

Kindle with braille works great. The only problem is that I have some problems
by going into the text via the table of content. The other issue I have is that
the braille display can be a little slow when you set the kindle app to the
largest pages possible. I think kindle can do something about that problem.

Best regards Annie.

 Hi all,

I'm pretty new here, so excuse me if I'm doing this wrong. Let me know the
 protocol.

Anyway, someone from Amazon's Kindle team contacted me today to see how the
braille display was working with the Kindle App that I'm using on the iPhone
and iPad. I've sent him some feedback, but you guys may have more experience
 with it than I do.

So, please let me know what kind of experiences you've had with the Kindle
 App.

 Thanks!

Re: Seeking Feedback on Using Braille Displays with the Kindle App

2013-07-31 Thread Scott Davert
Hello Christina.
I echo Annie's thoughts. Also, I noticed with some magazine content
that sometimes, when pressing space with o to turn pages, the display
does not advance. However, pressing it a second time will move you
forward 2 pages. So I'm guessing there is some sort of refresh issue
with braile?

Take care,
Scott

Hello.

I forgot that, there is a refreshing problem. Press new page and have your
router set to word or letter and press spacebar dot 6 once and the page is
showing up correct.

Best regards Annie.

2013-07-31 Thread Cristina Hartmann
This is great! Thanks everyone!

Actually, I had been having similar problems with advancing lines and I had
assumed it was my braille reader problem, but apparently it's an issue with
the kindle app itself. Interesting.

I'll send out the message to the Kindle team later today, so keep it coming
if you think of anything else.
