RE: a problem with vista
I don't understand why you can't install windows 7, rather than vista. Even xp would be better than vista. Infact, ms dos would be better than vista. Re: a problem with vista
Hi well see I downloaded all the updates there were available for windows 7 back in march and after all the updates were installed I still did not have a wireless connection and like I said I called apple and even they confirmed that there latest bootcamp drivers didn't support it so I'm guessing that the wifi adapter is just so new that they for what ever reason there is not a driver for my particular card, now things might be different now as that was a few months ago and I guess I'll have to wait for sighted help as I wouldn't want to try to run 7 in a vertual enviroment because the capslok key doesn't work right for jaws and the sharp keys program gives me to many unknown keys so it's kind of hard to figure out what I can choose to act as the jaws key but if anyone has any ideas I would be open to them. Re: a problem with vista
Just install the vista driver for the wireless under 7, it should work. I have an older system running 7 and I'm using xp drivers for the sis650 ethernet, 7 is very good like that. Re: a problem with vista
Hi that's what I tried infact the drivers on the snow leopard disk don't have 7 specific drivers and so after the drivers wouldn't work I called apple and they told me that I would just have to use the ethernet cable and so I decided to try installing the drivers manually and the installer said they were installed but they still wasn't getting recognized. - Original Message - From: Ben Mustill-Rose bmustillr...@gmail.com To: macvisionaries@googlegroups.com Sent: Sunday, July 11, 2010 2:37 PM Subject: Re: a problem with vista Just install the vista driver for the wireless under 7, it should work.
