hI Jeff, Onyx works fine here.  What I would do, is go into system preferences, 
security and privacy, and on the privacy tab, go under accessibility, and make 
sure  that Onyx is one of the apps checked in that section.  If it isn’t, check 
it, or you may have to add it in there.  and then you should be good to go.

Do you have any problems with it wanting to be re-registered or asking
for payment when you've already bought the program? I really used to
like Cocktail by Maintain until it started doing just that after an
OSX update.

Onyx, but on OS 10.15 with the latest version of Onyx when I launch it

Hmm, hard to say actually.
Onyx is totally free and actually do the same job as CleanMyMac so that may be 
one thing that i do like.
Onyx  has a more somple interface in my opinion.
Clean my mac has a great iuninstaller which i don’t think Onyx has.

It looks to me like it’s all tables you need to interact with one at a time.  
If you do this, you can pretty much tell what’s going on.

Also, if you use the smart scan, you can look just to the left of the clean 
button and see an area where there are three sections.  Each section needs to 
be interacted with before you can see what’s there.

I have been using Clean My Mac for a few months now, and although I have tried 
many things, I can never see any list of what the app found on my computer, I 
only know that t ran the tasks all at once with a smart scan and now I can run 
the cleanup. How do I see what I am cleaning up?

   I traded Onyx for Clean My Mac a long time ago. At the time I found 
Clean My Mac easier to use. Plus it has other tools which I have not 
availed myself of but probably will.
