Re: Re[2]: don't like the voice on the i phone

2009-07-30 Thread Anne Robertson

Hello Christian,

The Regional Format section changes the way Date and Time are shown,
but only changes the voice within the language the phone is set to. To
change to Swedish, you have to go to Language instead, and there you
can set any of the languages available on the phone.

Cheers,

Anne

I'm told that the date format is affected by the regional settings, so
if you're a north American and change to UK (perhaps Oz as well?),
you'll get European date format, i.e. day/month/year. I actually
prefer this, so no big deal to me.

Hey there,

You can always use some of the other languages available if you are a
polyglot, though your apps won't reflect the language change. What
would be ultimately stoopid is that one switches to a totally foreign
language by mistake..

I do like the French voice though, and the deutcsh one is like someone
who woke up after a big one the previous evening.

Gonna test oit the japanese voice too, as i hold 7 languages to my
belt, not that its an advantage when you got so many terms crammed in.
You loose your whole vocabulary that way.

Alex takes up way too much ram as I understand it. and there is
another reason apple didn't or rather couldn't incorporate alex. I'm
quite fond of Samantha. Alex may have been a little too soft to hear

I udnerstand Alex is too big to fit onto the IPhone. There's a new

also talk of a dual core IPhone for which I will be waiting. So I hope
that Alex will be included in both of those.
