Re: passwords in internet accounts
I have experienced this before. Perhaps I misunderstood Lorie’s issue. I thought she was attempting to access her Gmail via the web portal using Safari. I’ve never needed to repeatedly sign into my Google account through Internet Accounts in System Preferences on any of my Macs. Hi, This is a security thing. The convoluted way that Google and Apple integrate their ecosystems into each other sometimes causes this to rear its ungly head. I haven’t seen it in Catalina, but it was ever-present in Mojave. RE: passwords in internet accounts
Hello Lorie, First, if you use the Passwords and Accounts feature correctly, there will be no need to manually look up any information that has been automatically saved. Second, unlike in iOS, in Mac OS, your saved logon passwords and credentials are located in the password section of Safari. To access these saved credentials: In Mac OS, open Safari. 2. >From the Safari File menu, select Preferences. A multi-tab dialog box will >appear. 3. Select the Passwords, tab. You will be prompted to enter your Mac’s system password. 4. Now you will see a table containing the websites, usernames, and passwords that you’ve saved. Re: internet accounts
I have been getting prompts like that for 6-12 months for all my accounts in Internet accounts. For me this only happens when I put the computer to sleep rather than logging out. And also, usually once my keychain is fully unlocked on both Mac and iCloud the other accounts usually work correctly. my mac is asking me to enter my password for my Yahoo mail account. I know you're supposed to do that in internet accounts but I can't find where to enter it. would it be easier to do it somewhere in mail? thanks. Can't access Keychain Access, or Internet Accounts, Etc.
Tonight I discovered I have bigger problems on my Air than VMware functionality. First, I noticed Safari wouldn't start Going into Internet Accounts I find I can't access the table of configured accounts. El Cap says "busy" and the busy never goes away. Only way out is Command+Option+Escape. So, next I try Keychain Access. After all, I changed my login password recently, so should update the keychain in order to not be prompted, right? Well, Keychain Access is also a no go. It's another perpetual "busy." So, what's the debug process? Is there a good help on how to debug with VO? Seems restarting in Safe Mode doesn't give me VO. So, I'm feeling stuck on how to proceed. All suggestions warmly welcomed. Hi, It may be asking you to authenticate. When it's sitting there, try the Window Chooser with VO-f2-f2 and see if there is an authentication dialog waiting for you to enter your password. Sometimes, when these come up, VO does not automatically get focus. Later...
