You need to make sure your Apple TV is set so that descriptive video does
start. It’s in the accessibility menu.

RE: itunes and audio described movies!

2016-05-14 Thread Simon Fogarty
Yeah I can’t find it either, but the page is of interest because it gives us
the name of all the current movies with AD

I find it interesting that on my iPHone and iPad that AD automatically starts
up when I start watching a movie but on my apple tv it doesn’t start unless I
start it myself.

Re: itunes and audio described movies!

2016-05-14 Thread Tim Kilburn
Hi,

I did a search for Audio Description in the Canadian store, and it came up with
a list of movies with Audio Description including StarWars - The Force Awakens,
a number of Harry Potter titles and more. They don't say anything about Audio
Description on the initial link, but when you press on the link to go to the
page for the movie, the AD tag is present. When you navigate through the info
for the movie, you'll note the movie title and tags for Close Captioning and
AD. This is a very exciting development. The issue that I've contacted the
iTunes Store about is if there will be the ability to re-download/update
current versions of these titles. I already have StarWars, and paid my money
for it, but the AD version claims that I'll need to pay again. We'll see what
the folks in the iTunes Store have to say in response.
