Dear Alex,
Thank you so much for your work on this and other podcasts on the various apple
related apps. You explain things very thoroughly, and cover the basics. I also
heard your posts on voice dream writer, which was very good as well. keep up
the good work.

When in month view, VoiceOver does not detect or announce some calendar events
either when on a day of the month or when interacting with that day.

I reported the bug to Apple and they confirmed it and said they are working on
a fix.

Strangely, the bug only seems to affect some Macs, and on the Macs it affects
it only affects some calendar events and not others, and comes and goes
depending on which calendars are enabled on that mac. Also, when the bug is
present, VoiceOver will sometimes detect and announce the event if you navigate
to it using the tab key or the arrow keys alone (with Quick Nav turned off),
even though it won’t detect it when navigating with the VO keys.

One work around can be to switch the calendar into week view, where all events
are read, but even this seems to only work on some Macs.

No, it doesn’t just affect those with multiple calendars. Apple tested it with
the same calendar setup on different Macs and got different results. NO idea
what’s behind it.

Now that I've started to continue podcasts after a well deserved vacation, what

contribute to new podcasts? Any idea you have is welcomed.
For those of you who listen to my podcasts and haven't yet subscribed to my
podcast mailing list, the info is on my main podcast website

On that same site, it has the listing of my recent Podcasts for those who have
never herd of me, as well as the iTunes link to subscribe.
