Hello Michael and All:

I have had similar experiences to Michael with Ibooks. Reading a book is fine
and there is a way to navigate to the various pages in the document. I found
however, that Ibooks doesn’t keep my place in the book. So I exported the files
to text and have been reading them in Itext Express, I suppose Text Edit would
also work for this purpose. Of course you lose the exact page numbering this
way so if you needed a citation you would have to open the original in Ibooks
to find it.

If others have helpful experiences to share about this I would like to hear
them.
