Hello I have tried quite a few sip phones for the iphone and the only one that works for me is Media5. It also does a pretty good job with g722. Paired with how good the mic is on the iphone this thing sounds pretty darn good.
I have a freeswitch instance running at a colo if anyone would like to try it out. There are conference rooms a plenty to drag your friends in to if you'd like. Just write me off list. As long as the whole world doesn't ask me for an account I don't mind setting up a few. Freeswitch is nice because it has support for so many different codecs and it's conferencing mixes them all at 48k internally. Also telephone, from google code, is a pretty good sip client for the mac. It does do g722 but it doesn't quite get it right. Something about how it packs the bits. It ends up having a much higher noise floor and clips easily. Telephone is quite accessible and the layout is really nice IMHO. I hope that they add celt and silk support. Take care --FC On May 31, 2010, at 12:15 AM, louie wrote: > I got it to work and sent a e-mail to support about accessibility. > > On May 30, 2010, at 8:12 PM, Brandon Misch wrote: > >> i've tried to use this on the mac. is somewhat accessible but hope there is >> a way to contact these guys so it can be more accessible on all platforms >> including mac and iphone/ipad. >> >> On May 30, 2010, at 2:02 PM, Bryan Smart wrote: >> >>> I tried to use this on my iPad.
