Re: windows7 under bootcamp

2016-01-02 Thread jeff `greene
Hi Simon,
Thanks for the info. I guess I'm not going to upgrade to windows 10
yet. Yesterday I went through programs and features and uninstalled
the latest app I had installed into win7 and everything is back to
normal.
Thanks, Jeff

Hi, Ok starting just yesterday I'm seeing some strange behavior in windows 7
under bootcamp. My keystrokes on the keyboard seem to be delayed, I.E. I hit a
key and there is a longer delay than normal. A couple of programs like Piraform
C-Cleaner launch funny and i can't navigate the screen. So, since microsoft
keeps harping at me to update to windows 10 I was thinking that may solve my
problems. I just had some questions.1 Do you have to update the apple bootcamp
drivers or is it done automatically?
2 Will my screen reader work after the update, or how about win10's narrator?
If anybody on the list has done this upgrade any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeff

macbook randomly freezes windows7 64bit bootcamp

2010-07-10 Thread Josh Kennedy
Hi

my macbook pro randomly freezes with windows7 64bit installed with bootcamp all
updated drivers. I read its an nvidia driver issue. I read I have to dowload
download the following file.

http://www.brsbox.com/filebox/down/fc/0917205bb051880869ad1c9542ce57a1

I cannot figure out where to go to download the file to make it download. Can
someone please help. I was told the random freezing of windows7 64bit pro on
the new 2010 macbook pros is due to an nvidia driver issue and that the file I
should be able to get from this site includes a modified .inf file that will
fix the issue for me once installed.

please help if you can.

help with mac windows7 and bootcamp

2010-07-09 Thread Josh Kennedy
Hi

I am using the latest nvda snapshot with windows7 64bit. it is running on a
macbook pro installed using bootcamp. First question is, for some reason to get
standard use of the function keys I gotta hold down the fn key while pressing
the f keys. Second, I boot up into windows, hit caps lock n, it says nvda menu,
but when I arrow down to go into the menus the menus disappear and I'm put back
on the desktop. Do I have to wait awhile before I can use nvda? also why isn't
nvda showing up in the system tray? This is my first time with windows7. Oh and
also for some reason we did install bootcamp on the windows side because I
needed or it has drivers windows needs, but the only way I can get full use of
my sound is by using USB headphones. When I use the built in laptop speakers I
can barely hear nvda and other sounds. Thanks for any help you can provide on
this. you can email me off list at jkenn...@gmail.com

windows7 and bootcamp

2010-06-25 Thread Josh

Hi

Can you install windows7 without sighted help using bootcamp? Is it
pretty easy to do? And lets say in the future apple comes out with
another OS and I buy it, will I erase the windows7 installed via
bootcamp and have to reinstall it? or does the mac let your windows7
partition alone?
When I'm done with school and have a decent job I think I'll switch me,
my wife and when my son gets older if I like the mac, I think I really
will, anyway when I got the money I want to switch us all over to
macbook pro's. Hopefully I can get a state job working for voc rehab as
an assistive technology trainer and that includes recommending macs for
people in pennsylvania.
