Hi Jim and others, What a wonderful tip that is. I have been running into mac versus unix files since I’m using mac and windows side by side. actually that's not where I got the word count. It is an apple script that I converted to run like an app. Not sure if I can post it to this list but if you want to email me I can send it as an attachment. Not sure where I got it. Also sorting is another handy service that I use quite a bit. Hi Ray, All you need to do is to copy and paste the script in to the script source edit field within a new document using AppleScript Editor and save the script in a preferred location. Once this has been done, you can use the VO keyboard commander to create a shortcut key to activate the script. Hope this helps.
