[Diablo] I can't change Section in packages interface
I am trying to promote my Diablo application mileage (Car Mileage Calculator). In the packages interface it says "Section: user/other Warning: This package is not using one of the allowed user/* sections!" I assume this is why the promote button does not appear. I have changed my Section to user/utilities but I still get the same warning as above for user/other even though I have changed the section. I have examined the .changes file and the File section does have user/utilities. Any ideas on how I can fix this? Yes it compiled successfully. The log (https://garage.maemo.org/builder/diablo/eboard_1.0.3-9-maemo1/) says: [2009-11-10 11:10:13] Processing package eboard 1.0.3-9-maemo1. Can't find lt_dlopen in autobuilder for DIABLO
I am trying to port the mp3splt package to DIABLO. I am have problems getting the library package to build with the autobuilder. It does not seem to be able to find the libltdl library. I have included libtool, libltdl3, libltdl3-dev in the Build-Depends of the control file but this does not seem to work as the configure file gives the error: checking ltdl.h usability... no checking ltdl.h presence... no checking for ltdl.h... no checking whether to use included libltdl... . . . checking for lt_dlopen in -lltdl... no configure: error: libltdl not found - check libtool installation ! This all works in my scratchbox DIABLO_ARMEL environment. Does anybody have any ideas on what I need to add to get this to work. I believe that mp3splt uses plugins so I need this to work. The error files are at: https://garage.maemo.org/builder/diablo/libmp3splt_0.5.7a-maemo1/ The control file is (I have tried many combinations): Source: libmp3splt Priority: optional Maintainer: Munteanu Alexandru Ionut (io_alex_2...@yahoo.fr) Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 5), libtool, libltdl3-dev, libvorbis-dev, libmad0-dev, libid3tag0-dev, autotools-dev Standards-Version: 3.6.0 Section: user/multimedia Package: libmp3splt0 Section: libs Architecture: any Depends: libmp3splt Description: Library that splits MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files without reencoding Used to split MP3 (VBR supported) and Ogg Vorbis files into smaller files without decoding. audio quality problems using esd daemon
I am developing a sound application for Diablo. I am having audio quality problems when I use non standard audio sample rates such as 32000 Hz. I have a high quality sample rate converter and when I use this to convert to 44100 it sounds like it should. If I use 32000 Hz it has a raspy sound. I am assuming that esd uses linear interpolation to up convert to 44100 thus producing the distortion. Has anybody else noticed this or looked into this problem? I have as a future item to convert from esd to gstreamer. Currently my app (otrplayer) architecture does not easily fit the gstreamer architecture thus will be done at a later date. Anyone porting madplay
I am porting madplay to DIABLO. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is already available or if someone else is doing it now. I see that the two things it depends on libmad0 and libid3tag0 have been ported. The reason for porting this is that I am working on a project that requires this. For those not familiar with madplay it is a console mp3 player. Bruce ___ maemo-developers mailing list maemo-developers@maemo.org https://lists.maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-developers

Is gregale minimal rootstrap armel named wrong
In the repository under: http://repository.maemo.org/stable/gregale/armel-minimal/ The minimal rootstrap has the same name as the i386 rootstrap. It is called: Maemo_Dev_Platform_v2.2_i386-minimal-rootstrap.tgz Is this a mistake or am I missing something? It does have different sizes then the i386 version. Re: No column titles in list store on Maemo
Well I found the problem and am responding for the archive so others in the future can find the answer. One needs to call: gtk_tree_view_set_headers_visible() in MAEMO. It seems that in Linux the default must be TRUE where in MAEMO it must be FALSE. Calling this with it set to TRUE solved my problem. No column titles in list store on Maemo
I am having problems displaying column titles in a list store. They do not appear in Maemo in either the ARM or X86 SDK target but appear outside the SDK in Linux just fine. Even the demo program in /usr/share/gtk-2.0/demo/list_store.c exhibits the same problem. Can someone tell me how to display column titles in a list store on Maemo? I have just released my first BETA release of my Car Mileage Calculator for the Nokia Internet Tablets. It is available as a deb package at my home page at: http://mileage.garage.maemo.org/ Since this is my first release for this platform (I developed some programs for the Sharp Zaurus before) I would appreciate some feedback from some experts on what I have done wrong and right. Any feedback would be appreciated. One thing I have been unable to fix is on the Data Tab I can't seem to get the column titles to display on a table. Sandbox mount problems
I have just started to code my new project (http://mileage.garage.maemo.org) and have a beginners question to ask. I had alot of problems setting up sandbox and installing the targets for diablo. I think I have finally got it all setup except for one problem. Every time I reboot by laptop (DELL inspiron) with Open SUSE 10.3 and login to scratchbox I get the error: ERROR: Scratchbox is not properly setup. I find that the areas /opt/scratchbox/users/forsberg/dev and /opt/scratchbox/users forsberg/scratchbox are empty. I have to, as root, execute "/opt/scratchbox/sbin/sbox_mount forsberg" in order to setup these up again. Have I missed something in the setup? I don't think I have read anywhere that I should have to do this.
