This are the problems I also noticed with libsbc from sf.net. Where
can I find the 64-bit Version?

Oh, one more thing: did you restore any backups, or was the device
completely standard except for that xterm?

It reboots about every second day without installing anything except
xterm and copying over the opera bookmarks manually as well as editing
the opera rc-file to make the zoom buttons scroll up and down.

Later (about 4 days ago, when I took it with me away from my home) I
restored the backup from the .51 release since I was too lazy to
reenter all the WEP keys. That didn't change anything sigificantly.

It would be nice, if the software could report the reboot or
poweroff reason in some logfile (maybe it does and I didn't find it).

Is the battery drained at this point when you get it to power on again?
Any particular applications that you keep running when this happens?

One time it was drained when I had the audio player opened. I had it
play a part of an audio book and didn't bother to close the cover
after it was finished, just left it lying next to my bed. The next
morning it was powered off and the battery empty. This happened only
once though.

I assume that you have ensured you do not leave the device in RD mode.

No, I have RD mode enabled all the time, but switched serial console
off (it drains a lot of power).

Will it make a difference if RD mode is disabled?

Keeping the audio player in 'paused' state doesn't allow power saving
mode currently. That is the most likely cause for a battery drain in the
above case. It will be fixed in the OS upgrade.

No it was definitely not paused. It just finshed playing a mp3 file.

Please send details of your software configuration:
 - Fiasco image version?

Nokia_770_SE2005_5_2006_13_7.bin

Reboots happend more often with Nokia_770_3.2005.51-13.bin even more than
once a day.

 - extra applications loaded?

osso-xterm

 - applications running when behaviour observed?

opera, audio player, mahjong

 - restore from backup?

either case, doesn't matter

Also, can you check if you observe this behaviour with the official
images _without_ restoring settings from older releases?

Yes, happens too.

So, when reporting this kind of problems, please *clearly* state whether
you're having problems with the device powering off or with reboots.
They are generally two completely disjoint sets of problems.

I had 3 powerdowns with the Nokia_770_3.2005.51-13.bin image. After
one powerdown the battery was empty (the audio player case). The other
two times the battery was still halfway full after powering the device
on again.

I haven't had a poweroff with Nokia_770_SE2005_5_2006_13_7.bin yet,
only reboots.
