Re: Managing images on downloads.maemo.org

2009-01-29 Thread Niels Breet
 Hi,
Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

how does deleting/replacing images is supposed to work. If i delete an
image and reload the main page afterwards the image is just still there.
If i try to replace an image i get this:

 Server Error

We upgraded Midgard on maemo.org yesterday. Does this still happen for you?

 Hmmm ...

No reason to hurry ...

First thing: When i click edit the first line on top of the edit page reads:

Notice: Undefined index: id in
/mnt/netapp/pear/midcom/lib/org/openpsa/products/product/group.php on line 268

But deleting images doesn't work. You can try it yourself if you want to:
I am trying to delete screenshot11.jpg from
  http://maemo.org/downloads/product/OS2008/enigma/

Also reordering works for all other images but not for this one.

Maybe this is related to the fact that someone else uploaded this file? Can i
only
delete and change files i uploaded myself?

Regards,
  Till

downloads.maemo.org

2007-04-05 Thread Kees Jongenburger

Hello

I am trying to update entries on http://downloads.maemo.org/
I still cannot login but I see that somebody else added some entries,
What kind of trick they used to log in I don't know.

I know the old Wiki was not the best solution but at least it worked,
is there any way I can help fix this. downloads.maemo.org is directly
linked from maemo.org , I just would like to be able to update the
xmoto entry and create some wiki pages around it becasue the
information field is so small (255 chars).

and perhaps a little quiz for fun
what is this ?
https://downloads.maemo.org/product/bora_sdk_repo/
The install file for maemo 3.0 'bora' SDK repository.

Tricks may exist, but those are not solutions. Admins are always admins :)

As you see the wiki is still open and you are able to update it. I am
sure that many site on the net link to that page. If someone wants to
get famous then place a link there.

I don't want to tell you why the login doesn't work and I don't want
to estimate when the new maemo.org will be launched either. It happens
when everybody at Nokia feels like that the new site is ready. :)
However we will have a workaround for the login problem at t.m.o. or
d.m.o. after Easter (I could not find a proper solution yet). It does
not mean that you will be able to login at Tuesday 8AM (EET). I hope
to get it fixed on week 15.

I don't even dare to answer this... click and install :)

Soon you can rate and comment on every single entry... Have you tried
to shift-reload a page at d.m.o. ?
We have a tag cloud on the frontpage of d.m.o. We also have pagination
for all pages. We have a new design [1] for the app catalog frontpage
and we are looking for comments [2]. Phase 2.2 has just been completed
[3].
As you see the migration project is not only about migration anymore.
It would be wise to rephrase the goals of the project...
