Re: Sdict says not a valid sdict dictionary
Hi Peter, Looks like N800 has some problem to download this large file (about 16Mb). If you download to your desktop and then copy this file to the MMC everything goes fine. The dictionaries are several english to english ones from http://sdict.com/en/. I did not change the names of the downloaded dictionaries, they are for ex MWcollegiate.dct. I thought it might be because I had buried them on the external memory card so I moved them around but no luck. I have a Nokia 800 with ITOS 2007 v 3.2007.10-7. I have python2.5-runtime v 0.4-9 and sdictviewer v 0.4.0 installed. I made sure I downloaded http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sdictviewer/sdictviewer-0.4.0-py2.5.deb from http://sdictviewer.sourceforge.net/ and not the version for Python 2.4. I must be missing something obvious?? Re: [maemo-users] Python2.5 not available for ITOS 3.2006.49-2 ?
Hi Antonio, Python2.5 is available for ITOS 3.2006.49-2. As described on pymaemo[1] page, you have to check if repository.maemo.org is included in sources list of Application Manager. This latest image does not include this line. You need to add it and the python2.5 repository as well. Now I've updated the firmware with ITOS 3.2006.49-2, but trying to follow the same instructions I cannot find the packages, neither with Application manager or with apt-get install from terminal. Does it mean Python 2.5 is not available for ITOS 3.2006.49-2 on Nokia 770? Will it be available in (how much?) time or I should revert to Python 2.4 (which seems available among the proposed packages in the Application manager)? -- Antonio ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users ___ maemo-users mailing list maemo-users@maemo.org https://maemo.org/mailman/listinfo/maemo-users
Re: [maemo-users] help - attempted N770 python upgrade -- system keeps rebooting
Hi Jeff, I think the best thing to do is to flash again your device. Then install python2.5-runtime package, that will install all modules necessary to run python2.5 properly. Just pay attention to include the correct repositories (repository.maemo.org/extras and repository.maemo.org).
