Re: [maemo-users] Constantly rebooting.

2006-06-21 Thread Michiel Toneman

Hi George,

I have something similar. I was loving using 2006 Beta for a couple of
hours. Then I added a mail account. It retrieved mail the first time
and then spontaneously rebooted.

Since then, it will boot into the "normal" OS screen, I see it trying
to check email (the email/chat/IM icon on the left flashes a different
color twice) and then it reboots within 5 seconds.

Unfortunately I have no way of getting to any settings before the
reboot, so I have no way to switch this off or delete the account. I
guess the only thing I can do is reflash the device (which seems
*really dumb*) to me. I wish there was some sort of "safe startup" or
recovery console so I could just fix it. :-( Definitely a bug for the
Nokia people to look at.

Cheers,

Michiel

Hi all,
I have 2006 beta installed and up until yesterday it was working pretty
good. Now when I turn it on it will reboot in just after the screen
dims or if I touch any icon on the side such as Web or Email or the
menu. Sometimes I can get the menu open and run control panel but...

The last thing I remember doing is trying to add a second account to the
email app. Anyone else experienced this?

Thanks
George

Re: [maemo-users] Anyone know of a car (cigaret-lighter) charger for the 770?

2006-04-27 Thread Michiel Toneman
Hi Jack/Frank,

I think these tend to be overpriced. If you get a Bluetooth GPS unit
like the Oasis Media one (72 EUR) from:

http://www.gpsshop.nl/product/19348

You get a car charger and USB charger cord which fits the "standard"
(larger) nokia adapter plug. If you have the CA-44 charger adapter (I
made myself a custom one), then you can charge in your car, from your
computer/laptop etc...

Groetjes,

Michiel
