Re: Xournal and PDF

2009-06-01 Thread Aniello Del Sorbo
:p

You're right, but the issue is that I started working some time ago,
on the Diablo version by adding a few features.
Mistakenly I was doing it on the original code base and I didn't have
a copy (yeah I didn't setup a CVS repo at that time, stupid me).

So right know I am actually against the GPL, I think, as I don't have
the source code for that specific version available.

To fix this, I have to make the current messed-up code, working and
repackage it for both Chinook and Diablo.

And this takes time, and so far I haven't had much after I moved to London.

If not, you'd also make many happy by uploading the chinook version,
which works awesomely, as-is, to diablo extras-devel. :)

Thanks for the very nice e-mail!

You're very welcome! Thank you for a very good program!!

I'll forward ti to the original Xournal author as well.
About the Maemo 5 port, I am working, slowly, on it.

Pleasen do, was that Eduardo Lima?

What's really slowing me down is the incompatibility between my Dell
 Mini 9 and Xephir+OpenGL :(

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles.

I wanted to also release a Diablo version, but well...not much spare

 In the meanwhile...thank you again.

Thank you for making my life so much easier! For those
wondering how I do it. From Xournal menu fileannotat pdf,
which is what most of my forms come in. Insert text and sign as
needed, then fileexport to pdf. The built in pdf viewer
doesn't display it properly, but Evince does and my notebook
pdf viewer does as well. At the end of the day I connect my
tablet to my notebook via the the usb cable and print out the
forms I have filled out. I could also email them, connect via
bluetooth, etc. Most of the forms I deal with I'm required to
keep the original, so that works for me.
Best Regards,

Xournal and PDF

2009-05-29 Thread Peter Bart
Good Morning,
I just figured out Xournal opens pdf files and I can write on
them! Best of all, I can sign them! Probably something I would
know had I read the documentation. I havn't yet tried to print
them. When I export a scanned pdf that I edited back to pdf I
do lose some things. That's when opened with the n810's pdf
reader. I'm guessing I would be able to open an edited pdf file;
saved in .xoj format; on my notebook with Xournal and print it
from there. Just wanted to throw that out there. It makes my
life much easier because I fill out a lot of forms and now I
can save paper and time. Many thanks to the developers!!!

Best Regards,
