Re: [Mageia-dev] PeaZip

Hi Mustafa,

We have bug: #1636 open for it. 4.8 is in SVN, but still needs some
work, so no RPM has been built.

I've had a quick go at compiling the 4.9.1 version, based on the SPEC
file, and removing the 64 bit patch.
It will compile OK, but produces errors about missing shortcuts when
trying to run it. I don't understand
pascal, so not too sure what I am doing, but I have a patch, and spec
file that will make peazip 4.9.1 compile
and seem work on Mageia 3, beta 4.

Glen

It is a very good archiver and we need it for Mageia 3, hopefully in the
 default installation.

I just uploaded to mgarepo a package that fixes peazip. It runs nicely on
my 64-bit machine now, I assume that there isn't a problem in uploading
since it's not scheduled for Mageia3 and the package that was there before
was broken anyway.

Now to take a look at mplayer2.

Very nice, great job.

I am testing your package and it runs smoothly, except the problem with
missing 'pealauncher'.

Another problem is when opening an archive from a command line peazip
some.tar.gz, it's not working.

BIG THANK YOU, we've been waiting for too long, thank you very much.

I haven't checked in the changes yet because I need to figure out what
files need to get installed where
to get a working system. It works fine when I run it in the build
directory, but it fails when I move outside
that directory.

How can I test it?
