[Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1208328] [NEW] Document everything that can go in the /local directory
Public bug reported: Seems like there's some undocumented features that go in the /local directory. We should have a README file under /local that explains everything that can go there, modeled after Moodle's https://github.com/moodle/moodle/blob/master/local/readme.txt ** Affects: mahara Importance: Medium Assignee: Aaron Wells (u-aaronw) Status: In Progress ** Tags: api documentation -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. [Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1168213] Re: Wishlist/Feature Request: Customise page themes (skins)
Added a patch for an admin option under config-defaults.php, to allow enables to enable/disable the feature sitewide: https://reviews.mahara.org/#/c/2392/1 Kristina also suggested that it might make sense as a per-institution setting. I'll look into whether that would be easy to do. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. I have had a lot of users (approx 95% I talk to) mention that they would love the ability to have the choice to customise their page themes. I realise this is no small undertaking, and it looks as though some site themes can be customised via the admin/institution pages - is this possible for configuring page themes? I have attached an image with a rough idea for implementation. [Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1208650] [NEW] Images in journal embedded upside down
Public bug reported: Today I attached a JPEG image to a journal and then used the insert image icon in the tool bar to embed it. The image was embedded upside down! In the files area, and when I click on the attachment itself - the image is the right way up. On my mac the image is also correctly oriented. I have attached the image affected - as far as I can tell it is ok. Mahara 1.7.1 Cheers. ** Affects: mahara Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: image.jpeg https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1208650/+attachment/3761972/+files/image.jpeg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. [Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1208648] [NEW] Wishlist item for pages list: ability to create folders of pages
Public bug reported: Hi, this is for mahara 1.7+ A colleague expressed the desire to clean up his growing list of pages on the front page. One way to do this (which is related to a previous wishlist to create icons of pages and have a tiled interface for locating and choosing pages) is to allow the user to create folders as they would in a filesystem. This would also let them organise their pages. Putting a page into a folder would not be synonymous with creating collections - it's just a way of helping regain some control over the hundreds of pages some people have, which is becoming a real issue for some people. Cheers, Shane. ** Affects: mahara Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. [Mahara-contributors] [Bug 1072972] Re: Internal search ignores 'KATAKANA-HIRAGANA PROLONGED SOUND MARK'
I note that the PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE has become PREG_CLASS_UNICODE_WORD_BOUNDARY for drupal 7 https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/includes!unicode.inc/constant/PREG_CLASS_UNICODE_WORD_BOUNDARY/7 I also note that the fix for these characters has gone as well -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mahara Contributors, which is subscribed to Mahara. Matching subscriptions: Subscription for all Mahara Contrib members https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1072972 Title: Internal search ignores 'KATAKANA-HIRAGANA PROLONGED SOUND MARK' Status in Mahara ePortfolio: In Progress Status in Mahara 1.7 series: New Bug description: Mahara's (1.5.6) internal search cannot handle Japanese character 'KATAKANA-HIRAGANA PROLONGED SOUND MARK'. This character 'ー' is frequently used. For example 'データ (data)', 'サーバー (server)' or 'ポートフォリオ (portfolio)'. The cause of problem is line 1102 in search/internal/lib.php. 1102:$text = preg_replace('/['. PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE . ']+/u', ' ', $text); In this line, mahara replaces special characters specified by PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE with ' '. And 'KATAKANA-HIRAGANA PROLONGED SOUND MARK' is included in PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE. The solution of this problem is very simple. Just remove 'KATAKANA- HIRAGANA PROLONGED SOUND MARK' (code 0x30fc) from PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE. We can find the definition on line 1198-1225. 1221: '\x{3099}-\x{309e}\x{30a0}\x{30fb}-\x{30fe}\x{3190}-\x{319f}\x{31c0}-\x{31cf}'. should be replaced with 1221: '\x{3099}-\x{309e}\x{30a0}\x{30fb}\x{30fd}\x{30fe}\x{3190}-\x{319f}\x{31c0}-\x{31cf}'. P.S. The definition of PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE is originally from Drupal, and this fix was already applied. http://api.drupal.org/api/drupal/modules!search!search.module/constant/PREG_CLASS_SEARCH_EXCLUDE/6 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mahara/+bug/1072972/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors Post to : mahara-contributors@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~mahara-contributors More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
