Hi Dirk, Yesterday we pushed a patch to fix an issue when upgrading from older versions to the 1.8dev branch (master) in relation to view layouts. Part of this fix was the creation of a new table 'layoutmenuorder' - which looks to be missing from your instance. As the change was to a non-released branch we didn't give an upgrade path to the change. As you should only be using the 1.8dev for testing at this stage you will need to either - drop and recreate your database and install Mahara again - this will create all the right tables for you (easiest option). or - look at the htdocs/lib/db/upgrade.php script for the part about flexible layouts and try to manually do the changes described there.
