[Mailman-Users] No public lists
Greetings to the list. I've been happily running Mailman now on a Slackware box for several years. I'm in the process of reorganizing my domain, so changed the name the server that is hosting my half-dozen lists from www.wolfstar.ca to lists.wolfstar.ca. Mail is still moving properly to the list server. However, the web interface died almost immediately. Specifically, if you go to http://lists.wolfstar.ca/mailman/listinfo.cgi it says: There currently are no publicly-advertised Mailman mailing lists on lists.wolfstar.ca. I'm stumped. I've verified that my settings in Mailman/mm_cfg.py reflect the new environment. I've even gone through with bin/config_list and ensured that 'advertised = 1' is set for all lists. Any suggestions on how to correct this? -- -- Michel Vaillancourt Wolfstar Systems -- Mailman-Users mailing list Mailman-Users@python.org http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users Mailman FAQ: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/mailman-users%40python.org/ Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/options/mailman-users/archive%40jab.org Security Policy: http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/faqw-mm.py?req=showamp;file=faq01.027.htp
Re: [Mailman-Users] no public lists in listinfo after move
I know this has come up before (maybe not the same issue, but probably - where listinfo doesn't work but admin does) - try searching through the archives of this list. Sorry, but I don't remember what the solution to this is (despite the fact that it happened to me, once!) Re: [Mailman-Users] No public lists?
You can of course customize this on a per-list basis by using the hostname this list prefers in the General Options of your mailing list administration page. The behavior also depends on how you're set up for virtual hosting in mm_cfg.py . On Sat, 2002-10-26 at 18:30, Armando Soto Baeza wrote: I had that problem too. The thing was so easy! When I create my first list, test. It doesn't show up on the listinfo page but I can get to the admin page and the listinfo/test page. It also shows up on the /admin page and I can manage it just fine. Ideas? Check also the link pointing to your listinfo page, I had www.mydomain.com, so I had to change it too. [Mailman-Users] No public lists any more
Yesterday I set up and configured a few lists as public lists, and that worked: they were shown on the listinfo page of the server. Today they do not show up, the listinfo page claims that there are no public lists at the server. But I did not change anything! And if I look into the configuration web pages of every list they are set as public. Was is going on there? Thanks for any help and hint. [Mailman-Users] editing public lists pages
Hi, Can someone please help me? I am having difficulty editing some of my public list pages for my mailman list. On my user options page, I am unable to submit my changes after I click on the submit button. Why? Also, the page no longer displays the specific user name when it is activated. Did I delete a preset mailman command? if so, how can I get it back? Thank you. -- Mailman-Users maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/mailman-users
