This is a user option setting, "send a copy to yourself" (something like
that). Note: if luser is actually @gmail.com, *gmail* might get all clever
and not deliver both copies -- that would be a gmail "feature".

Actually, 'not metoo' controls whether you receive copies of your own
posts (posts From: you). The control for receiving copies of posts in
which you are directly addressed in To: or Cc: is 'nodups' as I said at

In the site admin, go to the membership list.
Find lu...@splat.com and uncheck the check in the "not metoo" column.
Submit your changes.

On luser's options page set "Avoid duplicate copies of messages?" to No
or in the web admin membership list uncheck "nodupes" for luser.

[Mailman-Users] Sending Mail To List And Individual User

2018-10-04 Thread Tim Daneliuk
I have a list, f...@bar.com. lu...@splat.com is the administrator of that
list and also a member of the list. If someone sends a message to f...@bar.com
luser gets a copy as expected. However, if someone send mail with both
f...@bar.com and lu...@splat.com as recipients, only the direct message for
luser shows up. luser's copy of the list message never does.

How do I change this so luser gets both the copy directed to him as well
as the mailing list message?

2009-06-13 Thread Elliott Kayne
I have been using your program for a while, and just realized no one is
getting my emails when I send to the list??

I just ran some tests to my yahoo account and I am not getting it?

When I send to my list, I get one, but non of my subscribers seem to be
getting my emails?

WHY How do I send to them?

Thanks

Assuming your list is properly set up and the members are regular
(non-digest) members and their delivery is not disabled, Mailman
should be sending posts to them.

What is the message you receive? Is it your post or a notice of some
kind possibly containing your post?

[Mailman-Users] sending message to list

2001-11-19 Thread Kory Wheatley

In mailman is there a way to tell mailman I want to send 25 users a
message in one envelope per message. This is done in majordomo with the
bulk mailer feature. This would be a lot better because then you would
not have to send one message per user especially if your mailing list is
1000 users, it takes a while. This would be a very good performance
enhancement. I' m current using sendmail as my MTA.

By envelope do you mean one SMTP session?

You might try postfix.

We deliver 30,000 messages in less than three hours, on an old
AMD K6-350 using Mailman and Postfix, and the machine hardly
breaks into a sweat. Load average less than 2. 150 smtp processes.
Jams up the DSL line!
