[MlMt] Option to Undo send

2013-09-10 Thread Nitin Goyal
Gmail has a very nice add-on Undo send. I'd like to see this feature
implemented in MailMate as well. It should hold the message in Drafts
folder for a specified time and hitting Ctrl+Z should undo the sent
message and reopen it for editing.

[MlMt] Hide/Show Preview Pane and keyboard

2013-09-10 Thread Ralph Alvy
I notice that when I first start a reply to a message, unless I use the
keyboard first (do some typing), I cannot hide or show the Preview Pane
via the keyboard shortcut. I must first type some text. This behavior is
not present when composing a new message. Only when replying.

Not a major problem once you understand how to workaround it (just type
something first).

[MlMt] Are 'rootOfThread:' and 'showThread:' the same action?

2013-09-10 Thread Steve Mayer

Benny,

Can you tell me the difference between 'rootOfThread:' and
'showThread:'? They both seem to open the thread in a new view.

Thanks,

The main difference is that `rootOfThread:` selects the root message if
it is present in the current mailbox. It is only when it is *not*
present that MailMate searches for and displays the thread (only in the
most recent test versions).

I think the behavior is more random than that (at least for me). The
problem is related to the menu item for this being dynamically created.
Some times the key equivalents are not registered properly and (for a
while) they are simply ignored. I'm not really sure how to fix this. It
requires an understanding of how/when Cocoa updates menu item key
equivalents that I do not currently have. I'll note that I should look
into it.

[MlMt] omnifocus functionality

2013-09-10 Thread Jason Davies
The support ticket here:
http://freron.lighthouseapp.com/projects/58672/tickets/4-applescript-and-folders

says 'can this discussion move to the mailing list'.

So here it is...;)

I can't get started. I followed the instrucctions (creating the Bundles folder
and installing the updated version) but no Command menu shows up nor does
control shift A do anything except beep.

Any guesses about what I'm missing here? This would be a really useful addition
for me...

[MlMt] Folder with ? or è or à

2013-09-10 Thread Olivier Bedouelle

Hello,

Following the discussion this morning, I tested AltaMail.app on my ipad.
software created folder with names containing accents or ?

MailMate does not accept this type of folder and crashed miserably.

I had asked my provider to delete the files on the server to restart
MailMate.

Cordialement

Although it's an experimental feature I should probably try to reduce
the steps needed to make this work.

In the Terminal you should see the following (paste the lines prefixed
with ''):

 defaults read com.freron.MailMate MmTwoPointOhFeaturesEnabled
1

 ls ~/Library/Application\ Support/MailMate/Bundles/
OmniFocus.mmBundle

Does that work as expected?

Re: [MlMt] omnifocus functionality

2013-09-10 Thread Jason Davies
ok, I think what's going on here is that I have my OS and Applications (but not
Home) on an SSD and the home directory on a spinning drive, which is breaking
the link (also affects Dropbox, for instance). It's set via System Prefs/Users.

This set-up is more trouble than it's worth but reuniting them two is going to
be a major hassle too!

Terminal said in response to the first

The domain/default pair of (/Volumes/Macintosh
HD/Users/ophiochos/Library/Preferences/com.freron.MailMate,
MmTwoPointOhFeaturesEnabled) does not exist

and the second one gives

command not found.

So I guess, unless you want to help me sort this for those rare occasions that
someone has such a set-up, I should not pursue this on this particular Mac (the
work one is a conventional set-up).

I will see what happens when I create the directories on the SSD.

Thanks
