I certainly appreciate the various “use cases” described in this
thread. I'll keep them in mind when revisiting this issue (which I
regularly do in the hope of some kind of eureka moment).

A somehow related requirement: *Disable Markdown for cited text.* Most
useful would be to have this option offered, when MailMate detects
Markdown in cited text and offers now to disable markdown at all. Here I
would appreciated this as an alternative.

Kind regards, Ingo

Sorry, I don't think I understand the request. Menu icons? Outbound?

Note that “Message ▸ Send” automatically becomes “Message ▸
Send Now” (with the same shortcut) when you select a draft with a
“send later” value.

It probably needs to be:

imap://justin%40domain@imap.server.com

You can select the account under SOURCES and then do a copy (⌘C) to
get the correct value on the pasteboard.

[MlMt] Setting up default address for GApps account

2014-04-08 Thread Jan Erik Moström
At work I'm currently trying out my universities GApps account to see
if it makes my mobile life easier. This means that I have an account
on the form

myem...@gapps.univ.edu

but my real official email address is

myrealem...@dept.univ.edu

and I've set up the GApps account to use myrealem...@dept.univ.edu
by default. But how to I do that for MailMate?

I've included the myrealem...@dept.univ.edu in Email Address(es)
for the account but how do I get MailMate to use it by default?

Let me take a screenshot :)

This is the menu I get for the menu icons for my outbound folder.

Would like to be able to Send and even Cancel-Send for the messages.

Thanks for the idea. I have already considered this solution, but it's
not perfect since it doesn't play well with `markup=markdown` and
therefore I haven't examined it in detail. I'll revisit that decision
and see where it brings me.

It is probably the example “Outbound” smart folder in MailMate. This
simply matches any messages in Drafts for which MailMate has been asked
to send. The reason it is not sent yet could be that the machine/account
is offline, but it could also be that it has a [send later][1] value.

Its basically awesome.

I have mail mate auto delay my mails 10 minutes - managed to catch
errors in mails and avoid sending mails that shouldn't be sent.

But sometimes I just want to empty my queue and get stuff to all the
receivers.

[MlMt] Non-automatic signature

2014-04-08 Thread Scott A. McIntyre

Hi,

I rarely want to use a signature in email, but, I want the option of
using one of several, depending upon various contexts I care about. Is
there a way to do this? It seems to be all or nothing, and whilst I
appreciate the intelligence MailMate tries to use to decide which
signature to use, I actually want to manually select one only every now
and then.

Thanks,

[MlMt] Smart folders and Contacts groups

2014-04-08 Thread Fredrik Jonsson

Hi,

Just started using MailMate and really liking it!

One of the few things I miss is some kind of integration with groups in
Contacts (OS X Address book). I noticed two other feature request for
this and wanted to add a +1 from me.

Settings up smart folders for customers and groups of friends would be
made a lot easier if one can use Contacts groups.
