I found View->Layout->Statistics
I don’t see Command->Visualize

The histograms are impressive but I mean simple global statistics like
what Eudora shows.

[MlMt] read msg marking

The column "unread" in the list view shows a circle if the message is
unread or is empty. I see those circles in at least 3 colors: blue,
red, gray. However, I can't seem to find their explanation in the

[MlMt] Extra work to start viewing messages

2016-08-04 Thread Randall Meadows

Ok, the "extra work" is a second press of the spacebar, but still...

When a mailbox is selected on the left, it takes two presses of the
spacebar to pull up the first message in the reader view. When I first
started using MailMate a while back, it didn't do that, but then it
started to; after a while, it just "magically" reverted back to
requiring only a single press of the spacebar, but now two presses is
required again.

I don't know what I did to fix it the last time, or to make it happen
again this time; does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

[MlMt] 2.0 bug - opened messages not marked as read

2016-08-04 Thread John D. Muccigrosso

β 6043

I was getting messages being marked as read without opening them because
the Viewer pref “Mark messages as read after X seconds” was checked
with X=0. (I think that behavior is a bug too, because they should only
be marked as read after viewing and I have the preview pane closed.)
Anyway, now messages don’t seem to be getting marked as read at all,
even after I open them.

Yes, that is great! I checked only the combination on the message

Yes, you’re right, though at least the shift shows up, indicating that
something different will happen.

Is they a way to have the oldest messages show on top? MM seems to

I’m ambivalent about this, so maybe a pref would be nice.

OTOH, I definitely would like threads to open up all visible in the same
window. Right now if the thread is collapsed and I open it up, I only
see the first message.

I think the current staggering is fine. It gets
confusing only once the windows get into the
right bottom corner since the windows keep
opening then on top of previous window. You may
want to add code to shift the next window
position to where the first window was once the
current window comes close enough to both bottom

pattern again, wrapping again if needed.

My update checking just says:

"MailMate r5234 is the latest version available—you have r5249."

The 2.0beta is not visually much different than r5249, but it has some
new and improved features. And it works on Sierra.
