Under Preferences -> Security, you can enable Image Blocking for All
Messages. If you also select the extra options to strictly block known
trackers, the single pixels won't be downloaded.

It was a known issue with 1.13.2 (r5673 and thereabouts). Printing
works again on r5737 through r5757 (Version 1.14).

http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/

(now that I go there I see a lot of later versions, too, but they
must be pre-releases of some kind).

You can get these pre-releases if you hold down "option" while
clicking the "check for updates" button.

Yes, I check weekly but it has told me for weeks that r5757 is the
latest version. I thought that was unusual, but I assumed that Bennie
was really doing a lot of work under the hood and would have a major
release any day now. :-) [I also have “Watch for Beta Releases”
checked. Not sure why it wasn’t working.]

Benny sent a message saying that the update process was being
revamped, so it wasn't working for a few builds. If you get the
latest test build
[r5777](http://updates.mailmate-app.com/archives/MailMate_r5777.tbz),
it'll start working again.

Looks like I missed that message. Thank you for the pointer. :) I had
noticed it had been a while since there was last a pre-release.

As a bonus, the latest test releases seem to be ARM64 binaries. Hooray!

Re: [MlMt] hover over link to view it?

2021-03-17 Thread Guillaume Barrette
Before deleting your preferences at `~/Library/Application
Support/MailMate/` I would backup those files. As a workaround myself I
often simply change the name of the directory in the Application Support
directory so the application doesn't see it. Ex: Change "MailMate"
directory to "MailMate-backup"

As for the icons missing in the preferences. I think I saw this
behaviour when I briefly tested the MailMate beta. I then moved back to
the standard version and everything is fine there. I'll have a look
later and see if it's still the case, but myself I'm on the standard
version: Version 1.13.2 (5673)

Best,

I expect you'll lose things like any smart mailboxes you have
configured, tags you have applied to messages (depending if your IMAP
server supports preserving client-side MAP keywords), etc. Perhaps
others have tricks to preserve those...

I'm talking not about links where the URL is explicitly shown in

does nothing.

I restart MailMate at least daily, and I just tried turning my
VPN off and restarting MM again, in case that was the problem
(even though I had already set MM to bypass the VPN, because it
causes SMTP problems in sending mail). No joy. Is there
something else that could be blocking this? I can't see anything
