[MlMt] OK, it's not ME...
I thought I'd screwed up something with my custom hotkeys and keybindings, but I just saw something that (I think) proves it's not me. The issue I've been seeing fr a while is: while deleting messages using my customized hotkey (I prefer ⌘-d, customized via the Keyboard prefpane) or marking messages for SpamSieve training (using my custom keybinding "s-s"), a *DIFFERENT* app would suddenly come to the foreground, pushing MailMate into the background. I don't know how many stray bookmarks I now have because of hitting ⌘-d repeatedly and suddenly my browser is now in the foreground receiving keystrokes. I think it's whatever the other most recently-used app, but I've not investigated to confirm; but it's definitely switching apps out from underneath me! But just now the exact same problem happened—MailMate went to the background and my browser came to the front—while I was merely navigating through a list of message using the arrow keys. I know I have not customized anything related to that or selecting of messages, so this has to be a MailMate issue, right?! MailMate version 1.14 (5856), running on macOS Big Sur 11.6.3. Anyone else seeing this behavior? randy PS - MailMate has also become narcoleptic on me—hanging for tens of seconds at a time, SPOD'ing all the while. It's done it THREE times while writing this message! This has been going on for the last several versions, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when it happens—sometimes composing a message, like just now, or simply reading. Benny, would you like me to try to catch a spindump when this occurs? (Do you happen to know the correct command to do so?) ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] Keeping emails read/unread
Hi, My MailMate build is the latest 5870. Even from 5864 I noticed that emails don’t become read/unread after processed them on a different email client that I usually use. Do I have to setup again the IMAP account from scratch (I would avoid ..)? It is an Exchange account, but worked well up to date. Re: [MlMt] Attachment download notifications
Sigh, never mind. My MM notification preferences were not as I reported. Things are in fact working as expected. It would be nice to be able to control the attachment download notification separately from other MM notifications. If that's possible, I don't see how. If not, consider this a feature request. :-) Thanks. -Eric On 16 Feb 2022, at 7:13, Henry Seiden wrote: Eric, I do not see the same thing when downloading a picture, with Notifications set as shown in the attachment (trying to duplicate your symptom, though not sure if I did and it’s in 12.2.1). If you can reliably duplicate it, maybe a bug report is in order as you are on a beta? In my case, had previously set Notifications off, since I keep MailMate open on a screen all the time. I get too many notifications as it is. In System Preferences->Notifications I have MM set to "Allow Notifications", have the Mail alert style set to "None", and leave the "Show in Notification Center" checkbox unchecked, yet I still receive these notifications. [MlMt] Feature Request: Keystroke to turn on/off all HTML, including html-style signatures in new mail and replies
Hello, Is there a way in MailMate to automatically set a message going to a specific address as text only? Failing that, what is the impression here about a keystroke command to force it off for one email? Here I have turned off the HTML Signature variant and set that signature for use with this addressee. Don’t know if this will stick. Since MailMate is plain text by default, will this do the trick to send plain text? Replies ought to be plain text with replies that do not include markdown nor signatures… True?
