Re: [MlMt] MailMate slowness?!

2019-10-12 Thread Enrico Thierbach
is there so network connection involved? i assume mm is asking osx‘ contact
app service for email addresses etc, and then this might ask icloud servers
for something, and if your network is bad this might slow things down. One
usually can test this by turning off internet completely.

This is in accordance with Markdown, but is of course surprising. I

entries.

I can't reproduce this, since those lines generate an unordered list
for me, with the first numbers as literals in the content of the
tags. However, I'm fairly sure that MailMate isn't auto-numbering list
entries. The evidence for this is that only "some" recipients see the
wrong numbers. When MM generates an HTML ordered list from Markdown,
it uses a "value" attribute in each tag to set the label. It
*may* be that the minor error in that HTML (no double-quotes, i.e.
'' instead of '') is confusing some mail
clients, causing them to ignore all the value attributes.

“(some)” recipients meant I wrote this email to exactly one
recipient, but I didn’t test this against other recipients so far. So
I can’t state “all” recipients :)

I just revisited the email I sent out, and this is what I entered (or at
least what I can see in the “Sent Emails” mailbox)

```
Sollte das nicht möglich sein, kann ich folgende Alternativen anbieten:
4. 4. 9:00 - 12 Uhr
5. 4. 9:00 - 12 Uhr
I also checked the raw email “View > Show raw message”, and what I
saw looks pretty much fine:
I resent this email to me (Edit as New) and it looks fine in both
Mailmate and in the googlemail web client; however, the recipient
received
![](cid:2836FF50-3853-40B3-8D3B-2736C8CB2CA4@open-lab.org "image.png")
It might be a problem with their client.
Benny, if you like I can send you a screenshot from the recipient and
the original mail source off list, if that helps.
Re: [MlMt] Searching in Subject line
Are you searching for [MIMt] instead of [MlMt]? Below, you've
written MIMt, with a capital I.
I am searching “[MIMt]”.
Which SHOULD answer your question. The Subject tag for this list is
[MlMt] so when you search for [MIMt] you will not find messages from
this list.
oh my! Yes, MlMt works (and without the following:
(And if those look identical to you, try a different font...)
I would have failed again)
[MlMt] Searching in Subject line
2015-08-26 Thread Enrico Thierbach
Hi everyone,
if I try to filter all messages from the mailmate mailing list via
searching for “[MIMt]” this doesn’t work and does not show any
message. If I do the same with other mailing lists the same works (for
example searching for “[SHÄRE Ops]”. What is going on there?
In a somewhat related issue: is there a way to move incoming messages
that belong to the MIMt mailing list into a separate folder - so that
they no longer appear in the Inbox folder?
Thanks,
I am searching “[MIMt]”.
Re your second question, you can set up a rule (an experimental
feature) or a smart mailbox that contains only messages from this
list.
This I understand. What I would like to see is mailing list messages not
appear in my Inbox, i.e. automatically archived or such.
You could use the Markdown code block syntax, e.g.
This is some code.
or
Re: [MlMt] Export of {account, mailmate} settings
2015-06-04 Thread Enrico Thierbach
Benny, thanks for your quick response.
One more thing, on:
 If you quit MailMate on both machines then you can copy the .plist
files in this folder:
Can we use an alias/symlink to files in Dropbox? That way both systems
would be kept up to date…
Ale
I am pretty sure that if the symlink points from the Dropbox folder to
`~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/` the MailMate folder would
still be a regular folder, but being synced via Dropbox. However, I had
a similar thing running with git repositories and other directories, and
as soon as multiple files were involved Dropbox would end up with an
inconsistent mixture of files from multiple locations.
[MlMt] Export of {account, mailmate} settings
2015-06-03 Thread Enrico Thierbach
Hello list,
I am freshly converted to MailMate, and yay: I don’t think any of the
tools before come even close! Yay!
I do have one question though: I am working on 2 macs in parallel, and
would like to install MailMate + SpamSieve on both, with identical
setup. Is there a way to export complete MailMate settings to transfer
them to the other machine? Or, even, iCloud-Sync of those settings?
