On my Sonoma even Mail.app is not an option to share directly in Preview’s menu. So I doubt you can expect it to work, even by setting MailMate as the default email application. On my M1 MBPro running Sonoma 14.2.1, MailMate is an option in Preview's Share menu, and selecting it properly creates a new message with the document attached, and uses the document name as the Subject. Re: [MlMt] Scrolling of message contents gets "stuck"

This is likely related to some recent changes to when MailMate detects and updates after changes to the height of the displayed HTML. The related code is better now, but I must have missed that some order of events can trigger it to miss an update. When this happens, it's likely sufficient to resize the window a bit to trigger another update. I'll try this. This is in the "Thread Arcs" view. I'll try that, but it's more likely related to the type of message. Length, content (externally loaded images?), and/or connection speed. Let me know if it's reproducible. Note that MailMate caches displayed messages. This means you need to open the message in a new window to trigger re-parsing/drawing. You can also use “Message ▸ Reset...” to force MailMate to fetch it as if it was a new message. I've never managed to *make* it happen. It's also the case that I don't *think* that I'm opening a new window when I switch to a different message and then back again. I'm just clicking on another message in the message list, then back to the problem child. Both before and after I do the switch/switch back, I'm viewing the message in the message pane. I almost never open a message in its own window unless I'm trying to look at two simultaneously. -- Steve ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
[MlMt] Scrolling of message contents gets "stuck"
MacOS 12.2.1 on a M1 Macbook Pro, MailMake release 5874 (and some earlier releases, too, so this isn't something new to 5874). I've noticed in the last few (test) releases that sometimes I'm scrolling down through a message (using the trackpad on my MBPro, for whatever that's worth) and will come to a point in a message where I'm pretty sure that there's more message to be shown, but can't seem to scroll to it. Dragging up on the trackpad with two fingers just behaves as if it's at the end of the window. If I switch to a different message, and then come back to the one that previously got stuck at the end, I can usually continue to scroll past the point where I got stuck before. Odd. I don't remember what the keystroke does if you have multiple messages selected with a mix of states. -- Steve ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate

Re: [MlMt] Block tabbing to clickable items in messages
On 18 Nov 2021, at 14:06, Randall Meadows wrote: I'm using the three-pane view: mailbox list on left, message list on top-right, selected message on bottom-right. When I get an HTML message and focus ends up in the message (like after I click a link), I am now completely stuck in the message view from a keyboard navigation point-of-view, i.e., I cannot tab back to the message or mailbox list--tabbing just keeps cycling between clickable items in the message. I *NEVER* want this behavior. Ever. Tab the focus away is all I do and ever will want to do. What is the magic voodoo incantation to make MailMate allow my caveman ways? This drove me nuts, too. While not the tab key, I put this: { "0" = ("makeFirstResponder:", "mainOutline"); // move focus to message list "9" = ("selectNextKeyView:"); // move focus to next pane "8" = ("selectPreviousKeyView:"); // move focus to previous pane } in ~/Library/Application Support/MailMate/Resources/KeyBindings/srb.plist, and added 'srb' to the 'Custom Key Bindings' field in the General preferences, restarted Mailman, and then hitting the "0" key will take me back to the message list. Better than nothing for me. I still find myself fruitless hitting Shift-Tab sometimes. -- Steve ___ mailmate mailing list mailmate@lists.freron.com https://lists.freron.com/listinfo/mailmate
