Re: [MlMt] How can I copy the Markdown of a message I wrote earlier?

Thanks Volker.

This works perfectly. :-) (Although it feel a bit strange that you have
to attempt to compose a new message from an old one in order to copy
stuff out…)

Hi Leo,

simply hit Shift-Command-D.
This opens the message in a new composer window with the original
markdown content.

Hi all,

Sometimes I want to reuse parts of a message I wrote in Markdown in a
new Markdown message. For this it would be handy to copy the Markdown
source of the old message. Where can I get this text?

(I can see in the raw view that the Markdown version is stored in the
message, but in the raw view it is encode d an escaped in a way that
it is pretty useless to copy it out.)

Thanks,

When you use Markdown, I’m pretty sure MailMate always sends a
multipart message with an HTML part and a plain text part containing the
original Markdown.

Try opening a sent message and viewing the plain text alternative with
⌥⌘[ (or View → Message Body Parts → Previous Alternative).
