[MlMt] Tags Menu Issue / Inbox Issue
Good morning. Not sure if this mailing list can receive attachments, but my tags toolbar item has 4 blank items (as if there are four tags there, but with no words to indicate the tag) taking up space. Does anyone know how to resolve? Also, my Inbox keeps removing the From column and adding the To column in its place. Not very helpful for my use case. Same question—how do I fix? I haven’t had issues with text expansion in MailMate. I use Alfred for my snippets. I would love this. Not sure why developers (not picking on Benny here) don’t ensure main/editor windows stay the same size. I find myself resizing windows all too often in apps. [MlMt] Open in HTML View?
I have my preferences set to prefer plain text, but sometimes emails don’t show correctly (or at all). When using the command-tab app switcher, if you hold the option key before letting go of command-tab (to select an app), it will restore the window if minimized. [MlMt] Emails Jumping/Changing Order?
I have a mailbox set up for news feeds. My routine is to click on the oldest email, and hit the delete key until the folder is empty. As I hit the delete key, I see emails jumping around in the viewer and changing the order of my emails. There are many emails that arrive at the same minute, so I think this confuses MM as to where it should display the email in order. Sometimes, as I delete, I end up with a handful of unread emails under the current location I am deleting from, as if the emails jumped to an arrival time before the email I am deleting. Just tried to undo and could not reproduce the issue. Strange. I will keep trying. Off topic, but is there a hidden preference to disable the combining of multiple selections in the Preview? I find this slows MM down when I hold shift and arrow up to select a bunch of emails to delete. I can see something like this happen, e.g., if the emails are threaded and you delete an expanded parent message (which breaks the thread in two parts), but I think this is mainly a problem if moving from newest to oldest. I have my attachments set to the top of the email. Is there a hidden preference for removing them from the bottom? Also, can we hide this information from attachments? Received messages. I don’t open attachments from untrusted senders, so seeing that in my emails just takes up space and hides the attachment size from me. I think I did something wrong. (Admittedly a novice in this area.) I downloaded the files, created the Bundles folder, dropped the files in there, and restarted MM. I don’t see it in the Command menu. I figured it out! I had to dl the zip (which gets unzipped in my downloads folder), remove -master from the folder name so it changes the extension to mmbundle, and then move that file into the Bundles folder. Thanks! Benny, Please support images in signatures. I’ve tried linking to a remote file, but because we have loading of remote images disabled, it breaks my signature. [MlMt] Confused Inbox Mailbox?
One of my three inboxes in the Mailbox area has a To column instead of a From column. I can add a From column, but I can’t remove the To column. This same inbox displays a From column instead of a To column in the Sources area. I sometimes use the Mailbox list. :/ It wouldn’t be such a bother if the folders weren’t duplicated down in the Mailboxes section. It doesn’t make sense to me to see them in both areas. Not sure of the design reason for this. [MlMt] Address Book / Zoom / Outlook
Hello, MailMate users. I have a few more questions for you today. 1. How can I get the MailMate contacts panel to search the directories I see listed there? The Contacts app is able to do so, but MailMate does nothing when I try to search for a name there. 2. Are zoom or font settings account specific? I tried to adjust these, but they only seem to stick to one account. 3. Is there a way to get MailMate to read Outlook categories, or for Outlook to read MailMate tags/keywords? I bounce between the two clients, and I’m looking for ways to stay organized in a consistent manner across the two. Any ideas? I do the same thing as I have my RSS feed sent to my email. (I prefer MailMate to RSS clients.) Only issue when I select emails with the shift key is that, when the mailboxes refresh/sync, MailMate forgets it’s selection location. I.e., starts de-selecting items from the beginning of the selection vs. continuing to select items from the top of the list when I arrow up. [MlMt] Stricter search for Go To Mailbox?
Is there a way to adjust the Go To Mailbox search (command-T) so that it only searches for the terms as you type them? For example, if I type “My” it is currently showing results for My Inbox along with a folder for Maxine Yeates and other such non-consecutive results that have the letters m and y.
