[mailop] Anyone from Apple / iCloud able to assist?

2024-07-02 Thread Allen Kevorkov via mailop
Hey folks,
Is there anyone from Apple able / willing to assist with iCloud/Me/Mac.com
issue?  Messages from a reputable sender are being rejected as "4.1.8 (bad
sender's system address)". As far as I can tell, sender is in full compliance
(fully aligned DKIM, SPF, DMARC, A record on hostnames to dedicated IPs, MX on
sending domain(s). Not sure what else could possibly be needed.
I've already contacted iCloud admin team, but it's been over a week since the
initial issue (missing hostname A record) was addressed by the sender and the
problem persists.
Thanks in advance.

[mailop] Microsoft heads-up - Outlook Deliverability Support not working

2024-03-12 Thread Allen Kevorkov via mailop
Hey folks,
I don't know if it's just us, but I've been getting "we're experiencing
technical difficulties" response for a number of tickets submitted to
Outlook.com deliverability support. We're unable to get any issues resolved. If
someone could please help, it would be greatly appreciated. This has been going
on for a week now (since about 3/6).
Critical ticket numbers are 7036876013, 7036875823, and 7036893290
Thank you.

[mailop] Can someone from COX.net assist, please? - CXDNS bounces as of 10/25

2023-11-01 Thread Allen Kevorkov via mailop
Hello,
As of 10/25 we've had a sustained spike in 500-level bounces from cox.net with
the following error:
5.2.0

sender rejected. Refer to Error Codes section at
https://www.cox.com/residential/support/email-error-codes.html for more
information. AUP#CXDNS

This affects multiple senders / domains to various extent - not all messages
are rejected, but a percentage at random times from IPs that have have been
sending for years with no issues prior. At least one other ESP has confirmed
they started experiencing the same symptom around the same time.
If anyone could point me in the right direction to get some eyes on this, it
would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: [mailop] hotmail and msn problem

2023-09-28 Thread Allen Kevorkov via mailop
It appears multiple senders are experiencing this. Resubmitting the ticket for
the same IP resulted in the same response. Replying to this message is ignored.
Other tickets / IPs are handled 'properly'. This seems to be isolated to
particular IPs, which are no different in quality / volume compared to others,
which are responded to as expected.
Microsoft: sample ticket numbers: 7024382881, 7024452394.

Normally this has been relatively painless, I have used the form at

to report the problem and it always gets fixed within a day so no
biggie.

Last week and into this week the above form seems to have stopped
working. I can submit the info, but I quickly get an autoresponder
email back saying they are experiencing technical difficulties (see
text quoted below). This has been going for two weeks now so does not
appear to be a temporary glitch.

Anyone know of an alternate way to report the problem or have any
insight on whether this "technical difficulty" will be fixed?

Thanks!

Thanks for your patience, we are currently experiencing technical
difficulties and our engineers are working to resolve the issue at the

 Hey Brandon,
I don't think it pissed anyone off, at least not to the point that the message
should have been blocked and bounced entirely. They re-sent the same message
and subject without the emoji and it delivered without a problem with expected
engagement metrics. Seemed like a pretty harsh spam filter overreaction to an
emoji

Hi Al,

I just tried adding a /16 that we bought a while ago but aren't using
yet. There were no issues adding it to the SNDS.

Having said that, I've often had issues in the past adding ranges. Most
of the time simply waiting and trying again a few hours or days later
worked.

Make sure the WHOIS data is correct, since Microsoft relies heavily on that.

Also, if you're able to, maybe you can signup using the AS number, I've
never had issues with that.

Kind regards

Hello,

We just saw that Gmail Postmaster's Tools shows a very unusual amount of our
IP's as < bad > in the graphs.
Domain reputation seems unaffected, but basically we see around 50% of our IPs
for July 2nd and 75% for July 3 going from green to red.
I saw no changes in sending habits from the various customers I checked (as
they all have dedicated IPs it's fairly straightforward).

Some other French ESP representatives I chatted with see similar cases, I
wanted to check with others if they saw the same things and, if luck will have
it a Gmail Postmaster team member happens to be online and they have some time
to look it up, that would be much appreciated.

We're seeing bounces as of 8/31, around 5pm eastern. It looks like
hotmail.co.uk has changed their MX records, so it's not the same as hotmail.com
anymore. If you have a config on your mta that rolls up different MS domains
into one queue, you'll need to remove hotmail.co.uk out of that config.

"550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable,"
That's usually reserved for invalid email addresses, but they are bouncing 100%
of the messages we send them on on of our IP ranges with that code. Just
started this morning.
Thanks,Alex

[mailop] Is Hotmail being increasingly difficult?

2017-08-31 Thread Allen Kevorkov via mailop
Fine ladies and gentlemen of the email world,
Is anyone noticing MS being particularly temperamental lately? I think it's a
known fact that MS is not fond new IPs. At least from my experience, a new
dedicated IP takes weeks to go 'green' and initial open rates can be quite sad,
however, what I'm noticing within the past week is actual "Blocked due to user
complaints or other evidence of spamming", even in scenarios, where a reputable
sender is ramping up volume from a couple of hundred to a little over 1k
contacts that have engaged within the past month.
I submitted a support ticket, which resulted in 'not eligible for mitigation'
response. Every other domain is performing well, which tells me that it's a
solid list, but MS is like "nope, I want none of this". I'm kind of hesitant to
submit an escalation request because last time we tried, it resulted in
reputation being reset for all IPs in that range, causing serious deferrals
that affected dozens of clients with dedicated IPs in that range. I might have
to go that route again, but very uneasy about it.
Does anyone have a similar experience or any advice, when it comes to new IPs
and MS domains? I generally like to keep initial sends via a new IP to 2,500
across all domains and double the volume every 1-2 sends after. Is this too
much? Again, in the past, the initially low IP reputation just caused emails
going to spam, but the actual IP blocks we're seeing now are worrisome.
Thanks in advance!

Allen K

Have you added your domain to Google Postmaster Tools to see what Google thinks
of it? If your domain or IP reputation is low or bad, that would explain some
of it.

structural is working correctly as you indicated below, the problem might be
with your domain name.  .cc is perhaps the most abused TLD there is, so much so
that google doesn’t even return search results if they’re .cc domains.  Many
anti-spam systems will reject a mail outright if it contains a .cc domain, as
the false positive to malicious ratio makes it an easy choice.     --adam

Subject: [mailop] problems sending to gmail    Dear all, Firstly, hello to all,
I am new to this list and not too experienced in explaining technicalities as
well.    I face the following problem: I am running a mail server using postfix
and dovecot, set up multidomain, sending IPv4 and IPv6 (whatever shouts first,
seems to be chosen randomly), and all seems to work fine. I have set up SPF,
DKIM and DMARC, all tests state that nothing is wrong but emails sent to
gmail.com users are landing in their spam folder. I checked RBL listings –
nothing, I have set up a TXT record in my DNS for google-site-verification,
still the same. Does anyone have an idea what else could cause this behaviour?
The main domain is fortytwo.cc.    Any advise would be highly appreciated!
If more information is required please let me know.    Many thanks in advance
 Andy
