[mailop] malformed header messages out of M365

2022-03-31 Thread Liam Fisher via mailop
Is anyone else seeing  odd  indented bounce headers coming out of M365 that
might be causing some processing issues?

Content-Type: multipart/alternative;
    boundary="Ica55N8hBprm=_?:"
 bounce-780_HTML-53664742

the bounce being indented makes it add on to the content type declaration and
causes havoc in message processing.

Re: [mailop] Looking for a hotmail/outlook contact

2022-01-12 Thread Liam Fisher via mailop
Ok

I have three servers:
smarth-prod1.sys.elnk.net has address 24.41.67.41
smarth-prod2.sys.elnk.net has address 24.41.67.42
smarth-prod3.sys.elnk.net has address 24.41.67.43

That we use for customer forwards.  Detected spam filtered out.

All three were severely rate limited/blocked over the holiday, and delist took
forever to
get back to us and we managed to get .41 and .42  delisted.

.43 sends the same traffic as the other two and they are refusing to delist it.

They are closing the ticket after every request.  No dialog, no questions
answered.

I have a lot of mutual customer complaints.

Background detail is required here. Your name is all we have; an explanation of
the issue you need to make contact about (IP addresses, domains etc) is needed.

I had my IP range delisted from the Spamhaus PBL a few weeks ago.
Rackspace/emailsrvr.com is still running an old copy and blocking.

[mailop] Spamhaus PBL question

2021-04-22 Thread Liam Fisher via mailop
I'm setting up some outbound relays in a new DC on new (to me) IP space.

The subnet I am using is on the Spamhaus PBL, which is causing problems.

I'm trying to get these delisted but Spamhaus isn't replying to the forms.

Anyone have any current contacts or if anyone here can help and reply privately?

SPF plays havoc with forwards unless the sender is rewriting their
envelope from addresses to a domain with SPF friendly to their
source.

This sounds good at first but if you make a flow chart, all paths lead
to either "nothing changes" or "shoot yourself in the foot." There's no
scenario that I know of where forcing TLS (as opposed to "opportunistic"
TLS) improves anything.

[mailop] SPF notification question

Quick question to the hive mind about SPF.What do you usually do for domains that have broken SPF records?  I mean the ones affecting your inbound to local delivery.Do you notify the sender and what's the usual process?
